Mariana fell in love with dance and performance at an early age and developed her skills in hip hop, jazz and martial arts as a member of Oakland's Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company. While a student at UC Berkeley, Mariana choreographed and co-directed Truelement, a campus exhibition team which creates dance sets with theatrical themes such as "Zombies", "West Side Story" and "Emergency Room". Before starting medical school, she performed and competed with Main Stacks, UC Berkeley's competitive urban dance team as they achieved their most winning season to date. As a founding member of Dancers of Keck she hopes to inspire others to express themselves through movement and find a new outlet for exercise. Check out some of Mariana's work below!
